About

I am a proud native of West Texas, having grown up in the oil communities of Odessa and Kermit. It never would have occurred to me as a kid that I would marry someone from Pennsylvania, yet my wife (Sharon) of now 36 years proudly hails from the home of Little League Baseball – Williamsport, PA. We are unbelievably blessed with and grateful for our three adult children: Dani, Jim, and Robb, our daughter-in-law Hilary, and our beautiful granddaughter, Odessa.

Educationally, I am among those who have who have been educated beyond our actual intelligence.
BA in Communications – Tennessee Temple University
M.Div. – Denver Seminary
Ph.D. in Systematic Theology – University of Manchester, England
After seminary I served in pastoral ministry for eight years with the Evangelical Free Church of America, though now we now attend an Anglican Church.
Currently, I am completing my twentieth year on the faculty of Denver Seminary, where I serve as Associate Professor of Theology and Christian Formation.

In addition to teaching, I love hunting and working on my vehicles: a 1988 Toyota 4wd pickup (the “Frankentruck”) and a 1995 Mazda Miata. My sports loyalties lie with the University of Texas Longhorns and Manchester United FBC.
